The Events

(Click exercise to see final standings):

  1. CHIN-UP HOLD

    • Hold your chin over the bar for as long as possible

      • Variations or a separate event will be made for older adults and others who cannot hold themselves over the bar.//maybe dead hang for those who can’t chin up hold

      • Eyes under bar to stop time

  2. TWO MILE RUN

    • Two Laps in the Industrial Park. Same route as last year. Can go left or right.

      • Turn right/left out of our parking lot and follow the road to the right/left at the intersection. The road then continues in a circle until you have to turn right/left again on our street (Enterprise Blvd).

      • Always turn right or always turn left to not get lost.

    • Fastest time wins

    • If caught cutting through parking lots or grass you will be automatically disqualified from the event and will also forfeit any prizes otherwise won during the Olympics.

      • This is your only warning

    • Start and stop when leaving and entering turf

      • Can use tablet by garage for client to stop when they get back

  3. Weight to OH (Split Jerk)

    • Successfully lift the largest amount of weight over your head.

    • This will be best accomplished by learning the last part of the olympic lifts, the split jerk

      • If you wish to not learn this exercise you can still get points by doing a regular Standing BB Press, Push Press, or even Snatch

  4. SKI ERGOMETER DART GAME:

    • Same as the Rower Dart Game from last year except on the Concept 2 Ski Ergometer this year.

    • Bonus 100 points for perfect score

  5. 20 Yard Sprint 

    • Use timing gates

    • .000 time

  6. 25 yard Seated Row

    • Females

      • 10 kg

        • 5kg off for 50’s and 16 and under

        • 10kg off for 60’s and 14 and under

        • 10 kg off and 20 Yard Row for 70’s and 12 and under

    • Guys

      • 25 kg

        • 5 kg off for 50’s and 16 and under

        • 10 kg off for 60’s and 14 and under

        • 15 kg off for 70’s and 12 and under

  7. Bench Combine

    • 60 kg for guys

      • 5 kg off fo 50’s

      • 10 kg off for 60’s

      • 15 kg off for 70’s

      • Kids 16 and under 3x age

    • 40 kg for girls

      • 5 kg off fo 50’s

      • 10 kg off for 60’s

      • 15 kg off for 70’s

      • Kids 16 and under 2x age

  8. BBB Circuit

    • 60 seconds each - 10s Rest Between

      • Choose order

      • Total Reps for score

    • Ball Slams

      • Ball goes over head

      • 10/20 lb

    • Burpees

      • Chest has to hit floor.

      • Feet leave ground - hands over head

    • Bike Calories

      • Need to set time for 60s so rollover doesn’t count

  9. 6 inches

    • Must keep heels ~6 inches off floor

    • Heels must stay within tape range to prevent excessive bending of knees and movement of feet.

  10. Bodyweight squats: 100 - Age

    • Squat to 6 inch box plus pound pad

    • Set up BB so chin has to pass bar each rep

Bonus events

  • Healthy recipe competition

    • Submit Recipes Anonymously

    • Submit Recipes Here

    • Voting will be August 1-14th

      • 1st Place: 500

      • 2nd Place: 400

      • 3rd Place: 300

      • 4th Place: 200

      • 5th Place: 100

  • Bar and plate loading

    • Have to set-up barbell vs the other two teams.

      • Coach will announce weight right before the start

      • Obviously space has to be available

      • Must only load one large plate on each side at a time when in the rack to avoid it tipping over

    • Can be in bench, squat, or deadlift

      • 100 points for winning team

    • Each team member can only win once

      • A winning member may block other teams from winning points though

      • Can only participate once/day

  • Weight Loss 

    • 25 Points per Pound

      • Also,

        • 1st Place: 500

        • 2nd Place: 400

        • 3rd Place: 300

        • 4th Place: 200

        • 5th Place: 100

    • 100 Points for doing a nutrition session with Candice

  • Participation Points

    • 75 points each, 50 points for second time, 25 for third time

      • Must complete all events before doing a second/third time (not including Dance Fitness With Nicole)

        • 150/200 Calorie Bike

        • 2000M/2500M Row

        • 30/50 Calorie Arm only Bike

        • 250Y Sled Push 10k/25k

        • Dance Fitness With Nicole - Not free

  • Team Outfit coordination

    • Team members show up with the same color or themed shirt

      • 10 points per person. 5 people minimum

      • Double points if all Become Better Shirts (must still be the same color)

        • “Become Better” as a theme would be too easy

      • Must take a picture and at least one person has to post on IG tagging us (Team coach can also post)

      • Can not be the following shirts on the following days

        • Monday: Blue Shirt

        • Tuesday: Black Shirt

        • Wednesday: White Shirt

        • Thursday: Grey Shirt

  • Improvements/Goal Bonus

    • Improvements from past events must be ~10%

    • Can set goals unrelated to this years events to reach by end of Olympics

    • 100 points per

      • 3 Max

    • Consult coach to help determine goals
