Who we work with:

Become Better Sport Performance and Personal Training is a training facility that works with a wide variety of clients currently aged between 8 and 90 years old. Many of our clients are just the general population who have goals of weight loss, increased strength, or just to function better in their daily lives. Other clients are middle school and high school athletes or novice to intermediate level weightlifters and power lifters.

Become Better Training Style:

Our training 100% revolves around whatever the goals are of the client. Every single client will have a program that is custom written for them based around what their goals are keeping in mind what their strengths already are and any injuries or limitations that they might have. We work with clients 1-1 and in a semi private setting. Semi-private training is different than normal group training because everyone will still have their own program. Our coaches will then be able to go around and help anyone who needs it whether it’s form check, modifications to their workout, or just a simple spot. What a Sport performance and Personal Training Internship would Entail:

  • Work directly with clients both 1-1 and semi-private clients. - This it by far the top priority

    • Sometimes you may be following a program written by another coach and sometimes you will be able to create the program yourself.

    • This may include general population along with athletes of all ages and all sports

    • Some clients may have goals relating to Olympic Weightlifting or Powerlifting, so coaching technique and writing programs for these types of athletes is also very common

  • Potential to educate clients on nutrition and eating habits

  • Research and implement new ideas and programs that relate to bettering the business as a whole and its clientele.

  • Possible work with social media for advertising purposes.

  • Optional: Write blogs for our website/weekly email

  • Optional: Learn how to run a business. We can teach how the business runs and how you could run your own personal training business in the future if you decide to go that route.

  • Some basic cleaning and maintenance of the facility. All coaches help with this. Not just interns

General Hours:

Hours can vary week to week. Busy times all depend on when clients book each week. We can provide up to 40 hours/week if required, or we can offer some part-time help. Generally speaking, we can work around any schedule limitations that interns have. Shifts are rarely over 8 hours unless requested. Many shifts can be short (3-4 hours) to help cover busy periods. Availability to work weekends (normally 3-4 hours only) is preferred, but likely not required.

Pay for Become Better Internships:

Any full time Intern would get paid a minimum stipend of $1000/month. More money can be paid if many extra hours were worked or if the intern went above and beyond in their work or helped us get and keep new clients in the gym. After the internship period there may be an opportunity for part-time or full time employment paying ~$20/hour.
