Step By Step Guide:
Lay on your back with your knees bent up and feet against the ground.
Cross your arms against your chest and slightly raise your shoulders up off the ground.
Helpful Cues:
Reach your shoulders up to the ceiling to contract your abs
Common Mistakes:
Just moving at the neck and raising your head towards the ceiling.
Where this isn’t necessarily a mistake, placing your hands on the back of your head can cause neck strain or possibly help use momentum to perform the crunch if not reaching properly.
