Chin Up Negative

step by step guide:

  1. Stand on a box, step, or similar underneath a chin-up bar.

  2. Grasp the bar with an underhand (supine) grip.

  3. Jump up and pull your chin up over the bar.

  4. Lower yourself down as slowly as possible until your arms are completely straight.

Common mistakes:

  1. Dropping off the bar before your arms are completely straight. This is by far the most common mistake. Lower down slowly and under control until your arms are completely straight and you’re at a dead hang. Do NOT skip the last several inches as they are the toughest part of the movement!
