Alternating Rocket Jump Tutorial

Description/Instructions:

  1. Place one foot flat on a box/bench and the other on the ground.

  2. Push through your foot on top of the box as hard as possible to jump as high as you can.

  3. While in the air switch your legs so that you land with your other foot on top of the box.

  4. Then repeat with the same motion with the other leg.

  5. Box height can vary. Higher = Harder. Generally speaking you should make a right angle with your leg on top of the box, then adjust for various purposes.

Helpful Cues:

  1. Keep your foot flat on the box so you can push through your entire foot and not just your toes,

  2. Take your time as you land and jump again to make sure your body is set properly.

Common Mistakes:

  1. Pushing through your toes.

  2. Not pushing as hard as possible
