Weighted Jumps

Instructions:

1) Grab Two Dumbells and hold them at your side. Small plates will also work. Or, if no weights are available, grab something else for a little extra weight

2) Put your feet about shoulder width apart.'

3) Squat down keeping your feet flat and balanced, then transition quickly to jump as high as you can!

3) Reset your feet after each rep.

Helpful hints/Cues:

1) Weight should be in the balls of your feet, but feet should stay flat on the ground

2) Keep your chest up during the whole motion. Don’t slough

3) Keep your arms straight the whole time

4) Squat depth will vary between people, but generally about a half squat position is good. This is typically lower than most would go.

Common Mistakes to avoid:

1) Slouching the shoulders down.

2) Being on your toes and not balls of the feet. Heels should stay down.

3) Barely bending the knees and hips.

4) Letting the knees cave in too much. Knees should stay about in line with your toes.
