Weight Release Box Jump

Description/Instructions:

  1. Set up set box height

  2. Grab two dumbbells/Plates and hold them at your side

  3. Dip down into a quarter squat or a little below and drive up and forward onto the box while simultaneously releasing the dumbbells from your hands

  4. Land soft and reset

Helpful Cues:

  1. The second your feet come off the ground is the point of release

  2. Controlled dip

  3. Always jump at maximal intensity 

Common Mistakes:

  1. Holding onto the weight too long and dropping mid jump

  2. Standing too close to the box or too far

  3. Dipping too deep into full squat
