Single Leg Squat to Box

Step by Step Guide:

  1. Stand directly in front of a box or chair and balance on one leg.

  2. Slowly lower your butt down to touch the box/chair while keeping the other leg straight, and then stand back up while keeping the knee pointed in the same direction as the toe.

Common Mistakes:

  1. Allowing the other foot to touch the ground. This defeats the purpose of doing the single leg squat. Force yourself to use only the leg on the ground to help you stand back up.

  2. Allowing the knee to cave inward. This can place unwanted strain on the knee, so focus on keeping it pointed in the same direction as your toe.
