Bicep Curl
step by step guide:
Pick up some dumbbells and stand up tall with your feet about hip width apart and the dumbbells at your side with your palms facing forward.
Curl both dumbbells up to shoulder height while keeping your upper arm in line with your torso, then lower the dumbbells back down.
Common Mistakes:
Swinging the dumbbells up with momentum rather than forcing the muscles to work. Make sure you’re not swinging your arms. Keep the movements slow and controlled.
Leaning the upper body back when the movement gets tough. This alters the lever arm of the elbow and takes tension off of the biceps, which defeats the purpose of the exercise. Force yourself to stay strict and grind through when it gets tough.
