Ball Slam Tutorial

Step By Step Guide:

  1. Using a slam ball, raise the ball above your head as high as you can then use all the force in your body to slam that ball as hard as you can.

  2. When you slam, you want the ball to land right in between your feet and you want to finish the slam by sitting back into your hips.

HELPFUL CUES:

  1. Use your whole body to slam the ball down. Do not simply let gravity do the work. Accelerate the ball down by dropping your hips and throwing your arms down.

Common Mistakes:

  1. Don’t let your back round when you pick up the ball. Keep your back flat and sit into your hips to pick the ball up like a deadlift.

  2. Letting gravity do the work. Make sure you’re actively throwing the ball down and not just letting it fall.
