The Good of 2020

2020 was a strange year. Yet there was a still a lot of good that came out of it. Here are some highlights of accomplishments made by all of you.

Coach Nik Aston qualifying for the Highland Games at the Arnold Sports Festival and winning the “Weight Over Bar” Event.

Nicole Miller Also Benched 70 lbs, Deadlifted 135 lbs and Squated 110 lbs! That may not seam like much to many of you, but Nicole has made huge improvements since joining last year.

Vijay lost over 30 lbs by coming in consistently 4X/week for 30 minutes over a few month period before moving out to California. And Gina, mother of 3, Picked up 200 lbs and bench pressed over 100 lbs.'

Isaac Martell learned how to lift properly. He’s OK at it now.

Brandon Hanson gained 30 lbs (trust me, that’s a good thing)

The Taylor family was amongst the most consistent of all clients this year and it showed.

  • Bella Deadlifted 275 lbs

  • Little Charles gained a few needed lbs and now jumps 8 inches higher

  • TJ Taylor increased his fastball to 71 MPH

Robbie Williams Back squatted 250 and Benched 225 lbs at 15 years old … He also talked once

Jenna was recruited to play Volleyball at Juniata College. Her club teammate Ally was also recruited to play at Fairmont State.

Tony Boff was also recruited to play at St. Francis University

Francesca has continued her weight loss and has lifted more weights than she ever imagined (sorry I don’t have exact numbers for this).

Ed Talarico unfortunately had heart surgery late this year. He however must have completed the fastest road to recovery ever seen through his dedication both before and after to health and fitness.

Corey Kroboth Squatted 260 KG. Go ahead, look that up in lbs

Werner got really strong. He deadlifted over 200kg, but this was the best thing he did all year…

TJ Smith got healthier. Much healthier.

Kerry Hartman, where to begin on this guy. Now doing over 60 sit ups in a minute, almost 60 push-ups in a row, back squatting well over 300 lbs, pressing 80 kg over his head (passing coach Dan), and his biggest accomplishment, getting his wife to join in on the fun.

Jean Criss. Our oldest client, now able to push 135 lbs on the sled and also pick up that much weight as well.

I will update this post this week again with some videos and some better pictures of the actual lifts. Unfortunately I was having a hard time getting a lot of them to load.

I’m sure I missed some of you on this list and I apologize for that. I don’t have most of your numbers in front of me so this was largely off the top of my head (plus a few text messages to clients). Coach Joey will be adding more to this list too. Please post in the comments section below if there’s another accomplishment you have reached that you would like us to share! Some of you may still be new or we simply might not have discussed some of the goals that you have reached recently, but I would love to talk more with each and every one of you about your accomplishments. If you had struggle reaching your goals last year I would like to hear about those too. This was obviously a year full of obstacles, but we are here to help you Become Better no matter what!
