Coach Tip Tuesday For August 2020

If you follow us on social media you have seen that every Tuesday we post a new “coach tip” from us. In case you missed those from August (and a couple from July) I have posted them below!

Personal Training Tips July 2020

July 21st: “Training on the days that you don’t feel fully up to it makes every other training session that much easier”

- Coach Joey

July 28th: “(When thinking about powerlifting) Join a gym where others also compete and are willing to help. Then try to learn more about the three lifts and start a structured program around them to see if you enjoy it. It’s natural to want to wait to compete, but don’t be afraid to just jump in and try it out”

Personal Training Tips August 2020

August 4th: “Have fun with your Training. Consistency is the most important factor for making progress and if your training is fun, it will be easier to stay consistent. Communicate effectively with your coach so that they can come up with a plan that’s a good mix between the things you do, and the things that you need to do.”

- Coach Nik Aston, Owner of Enchanted Strength in NM (CHECK OUT HIS NEW WEBSITE)

August 11th: “Lets talk hydration! It’s important (to have some fluids) before, during, and after training. For (proper) hydration we should be drinking half our body weight in ounces per day.”

- Coach Joey

August 18th: “If you’re short on time in the gym, focus on 3 main multi-joint movements. A Press (EX. Bench Press or Military Press), A Pull (EX. Pull-up or Row), and a major leg exercise (EX. Squats or Deadlifts).”

- Coach Dan

August 25th: “Walk.” Consider adding extra walking into your daily routine. Walking can help get the blood moving to help you warm up or recover from workouts. It will also help you burn extra calories while being a great way to relax your mind.”
